Uganda's youth crisis

IA VOTECH

Raising godly men with a skill

Uganda is one of the youngest nations in the world—yet more than 77% of its youth are unemployed.

This isn’t just a statistic—it’s a crisis.

In underserved communities, young men grow up surrounded by poverty, crime, addiction, and hopelessness. Many lack purpose, direction, and opportunity to become all God created them to be.

Why we started IA VOTECH

We saw the need for more than job creation.

We saw the need for:

Godly mentorship

Practical, hands-on training

A transformational community

At IA VOTECH, we believe that when a young man is discipled in Christ and trained in a skill, he can rise above his circumstances and become a pillar in his home, church, and society.

Our mission

To disciple and equip young men with practical skills and Christ-like character for impact in the marketplace.

The IA VOTECH Apprenticeship Program

Our one-year residential apprenticeship combines skills training with discipleship and community living:

Hands-on Training

Trades like carpentry, electrical work, and more that provide real-world opportunities.

Christian Mentorship

Daily discipleship that builds faith, character, and responsibility.

Residential Community

A safe environment where young men learn discipline, fellowship, and brotherhood.

More than skills, we build men

At IA VOTECH, we don’t just teach skills. We build men. Godly men. Skilled men. Kingdom men. Men who are ready to: Rebuild their lives, serve their communities and Glorify God in all they do
